Dr Sudarsan De MBBS, MD Radiation Oncology(AIIMS)

Dr. Sudarsan De is a distinguished radiation oncologist with over 40 years of experience in the field of oncology. Renowned for his expertise in advanced radiation techniques, Dr. De has played a pivotal role in shaping radiation oncology in India and is widely respected for his contributions to medical education, clinical practice, and oncology research.

Dr. De completed his MBBS at Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College in Kolkata and went on to earn his MD in Radiation Oncology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Over the course of his career, he has received extensive training in modern radiation techniques across top centers in Italy, Germany, Belgium, the USA, and the UK. His technical expertise encompasses cutting-edge radiation modalities such as IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy), IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy), Cyber Knife, Gamma Knife, SRS/SBRT (Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy), and Brachytherapy.

Dr. De has held influential positions at premier healthcare institutions. He began as an Assistant Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi, and advanced to serve as Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at major hospitals, including Anand Hospital, Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, and Batra Hospital in New Delhi. He has also held leadership roles, such as Chairman of Oncology Services at Galaxy Cancer Institute, Pushpanjali Crosslay Hospital, and Director of Radiation and Oncology Services at Jaypee Hospital in Noida. Currently, Dr. De serves as Group Director of Radiation Oncology at Yatharth Group of Hospitals in Delhi NCR, where he oversees oncology services and ensures the delivery of state-of-the-art cancer treatment.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. De has made significant contributions to oncology education. Over the years, he has mentored more than 100 residents across disciplines, including Oncology, Surgery, ENT, and Gynecology. He pioneered the DNB postgraduate training program, helping to build the next generation of oncology specialists. His dedication to education extends to his authorship of oncology chapters in major textbooks, and his role in chairing key sessions at national and international oncology conferences has further established him as a leader in the field.

Dr. De is an active member of several prestigious oncology societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), and the European Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ESTRO), among others. These memberships reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of oncological advancements and contributing to the global oncology community.

Dr. Sudipto De is a highly skilled surgical oncologist with specialized expertise in Minimal Access Oncosurgery, focusing on malignancies across critical areas such as the Head & Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, and Pelvis. He brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his field, with a career that spans over a decade in both general and specialized surgical oncology.

Dr. De completed his MBBS in 2011 from Dr. Vaishyampayan Memorial Government Medical College in Solapur. Recognizing his passion for surgery and oncology, he pursued advanced training, obtaining his DNB in General Surgery in 2017 from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. His commitment to continually advancing his skills is evident through further achievements, including a DrNB in Surgical Oncology (2023), Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FIAGES, 2022), and Fellowship in Advanced Robotic Surgery (FALS, 2024). This extensive academic foundation has enabled Dr. De to become proficient in cutting-edge surgical techniques, including robotic and minimally invasive procedures.

His professional journey began at Pushpanjali Crosslay Hospital in Delhi NCR, where he worked as a Junior Resident in Oncology from 2011 to 2012. Dr. De continued to develop his expertise at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, where he served as a Resident in General Surgery (2012-2015) and later at Jaypee Hospital in NOIDA, Delhi NCR, as a Senior Resident in Surgical Oncology (2015-2020). By 2020, Dr. De advanced to the role of Senior Registrar in Surgical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, and he has recently been appointed as a Consultant in Surgical Oncology (2024), a role that highlights his proficiency and leadership in complex surgical cases.

Dr. De’s commitment to the advancement of oncology is also reflected in his affiliations with esteemed professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncologists (IASO), among others. These memberships underline his global and national recognition as a dedicated surgical oncologist.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. De has contributed to the academic field through publications in reputable journals such as the World Journal of Gastroenterology and Apollo Medicine. He is an active participant in the international medical community, frequently attending and presenting at national and international conferences to share insights and learn about the latest advancements in oncology.
